چکیده
In this paper we examined the problem of steady flow of a second order slightly thermo-viscous incompressible fluid through a porous slab bounded between two infinitely spread permeable parallel plates. The effects of various material parameters like Darcy’s porosity parameter, Thermo-mechanical stress interaction coefficient, Strain thermal conductivity coefficient and Suction/injection parameter on the flow field have been discussed with the help of illustrations. It is worth mentioning that the variations of the velocity and temperature of the fluid increase at the faster rate. This effect can be attributed due to the strain thermal conductivity of the fluid. On the Analysis of Laminar Flow of Viscous Fluid through a Porous Channel with Suction/Injection at Slowly Expanding or Contracting Walls
The vast biological and industrial applications of laminar flow of viscous fluid through a porous channel with contracting or expanding permeable wall have attest to the importance of studying the flow process. In this paper, two-dimensional flow of viscous fluid in a porous channel through slowly expanding or contracting walls with injection or suction is analyzed using variation parameter met...
متن کاملAn Analytical Approach to the Effect of Viscous Dissipation on Shear-Driven Flow between two parallel plates with Constant Heat Flux Boundary Conditions
An investigation has been made to analyze the effects of viscous dissipation on the heat transfer characteristics for both hydro-dynamically and thermally fully developed, laminar shear driven flow between two infinitely long parallel plates, where the upper plate is moving in an axial direction at a constant speed. On the basis of some routine assumptions made in the literature, a close form a...

Effects of Hall current, ion-slip and Coriolis force on unsteady MHD Couette-Hartmann flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid through a porous medium bounded by porous plates in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field which is either fixed relative to the fluid or to the moving porous plate is investigated using Laplace transform technique. The expressions for...
متن کاملUnsteady flow of a dusty fluid between two parallel plates bounded above by porous medium
The purpose of the present paper is to study an unsteady laminar flow of an incompressible conducting viscous dusty fluid between two infinitely non-conducting parallel plates, where above plate is bounded by porous medium. The flow is influenced by pulsatile pressure gradient, uniform magnetic field which is applied perpendicular to the plates and due to oscillations of the plates under the ef...
متن کاملOn the Effectiveness of Porosity on Unsteady Couette Flow and Heat Transfer between Parallel Porous Plates with Exponential Decaying Pressure Gradient
The unsteady Couette flow through a porous medium of a viscous, incompressible fluid bounded by two parallel porous plates is studied with heat transfer. A uniform suction and injection are applied perpendicular to the plates while the fluid motion is subjected to an exponential decaying pressure gradient. The two plates are kept at different but constant temperatures while the viscous dissipat...
